Nikolay Velyashev (Svetlanov) (Tenor) (? - Voronezh 1924)


From 1891 to 1896 he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where he made his debut as Lensky in ‘’Eugene Onegin’’. In 1894 with great success he made guest appearances in Simbirsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Kiev. In 1898 he again sang in Nizhny Novgorod. His best roles were Faust, Lensky and Sinodal. His repertoire included Don Ottavio in ‘’Don Juan’’, Bernedey in ‘’The Snow Maiden’’, Lesnky in ‘’Eugene Onegin’’ and Finn in ‘’Ruslan and Ludmila’’.
