He received his education in Buenos Aires . In 1920 he made his debut at the Teatro Coliseo inBuenos Aires as Colline in ‘’La Bohème’’. In 1920 he also appeared at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires in ‘’La Fanciulla del West’’ and ‘’Gianni Schicchi’’ by Puccini. After additional training in Italy he appeared there at the opera houses of Florence , Venice , Rome , Naples and Milan . In 1923 he went to Paris and joined the opera troupe, which Maria Kuznetsova-Benois had just founded at that time. Here he was admired above all as Boris Godunov, a part which he also sang in 1932 inBuenos Aires with great success, and which he sang into Russian language. He guested with the ensemble of this opera troupe also in Germany . In 1925 he appeared at the Teatro Fenice inVenice in G. Puccini’s ‘’La Bohème’’ and guested in other famous opera stages in Italy, above all also at the Teatro Alla Scala, where in 1934 he appeared in the Italian première of M. de Falla’s ‘’La vida breve’’. In the 1932-1955 he was a member of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires . Here he performed among other things in 1937 in the premiere of the opera ‘’Siripo’’ of Felipe Boero. During the postwar years he made guest appearances in France (among other things in 1946 at the Opéra-Comique in Paris ), Italy and Sweden . After his retirement, he worked in the area of the opera direction.
