Jeanne Rousselière (Soprano) (Paris 1878 – Paris 1953)




Her real name was Jeanne Suzanne Huchet. She studied at the  Paris Conservatoireand in 1901 made her debut at Opéra-Comique as Colette in Messager’s ‘’La Basoche’’. She appeared at Opéra-Comique in ‘’Lakme’’, ‘’Werther’’, ‘’Manon’’  and ‘’Mireille’’.. In 1903 she performed in the premiere of the opera ‘’ La petite maison’’ of Chaumet. Her husband was the famous tenor Charles Rousselière.
