Enrico Vannuccini (Bass) (Livorno 1877 - ?)




Probably he made his debut in 1898 at the Teatro Avvalorati of  Livorno in ‘’Paulus’’ of  F. Mendelsshon. In 1904 he sang the role of Sparafucile at the Teatro della Pergola in Firenze. In 1909 he appeared at the Teatro Comunale of Bolognain the premiere of the opera ‘’Rosellina Dei Vergani’’ of  E. Balilla Pratella. On 14. 10. 1911 he performed at the Teatro Dal Verme of Milanin the premiere of the opera ‘’Conchita’’ of  Riccardo Zandonai. In the 1912-13 season he was engaged by the Teatro alla Scala in which he sang in 1912 in the Italian première of ‘’La Habanéra’’ of Laparras and in 1913 in E. Wolf Ferrari’s ‘’Le Donne Curiose’’ (as Pantalone). In 1916 he appeared at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome as Baldassare in ‘’La Favorita’’ of Donizetti and as Ramphis in ‘’Aida’’. At the Teatro Argentina in Rome he sang in 1926 the role of Geronte in ‘’Manon Lescaut’’of Puccini. He retired from the stage in 1946 appearing for the last time in Rossini’s ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’ at the Teatro Goldoni of Livorno.
