Cécile Merguillier (Soprano) (Paris, France 1861 - Paris, France 1938)



She studied singing at the Conservatoire de Paris and in 1881 made her debut at the Opéra-Comique of Paris in ‘’Le Toréador’’ of Adolphe Adam. On 25. 5. 1887 she sang with great success the part of Philine in ‘’Mignon’’ at the Opéra-Comique. She was highly appreciated by the audience at the Opéra-Comique in 1885, when she appeared as Javotte in ‘’Le Roi l'a dit’’ of L. Delibes. Later she was active as vocal pedagogue in Paris.
