Émile-Frantz Sardet (Tenor) (Oran 1882 – Monte Carlo 1913)




In the 1907-08 season he was engaged by the Opera House of Lyon. In 1908 he sang at the Théâtre Lyrique de la Gaîté in Paris as Arturo in ‘’Lucia di Lammermoor’’, later at the same Opera House he appeared as Don Gasparo in Donizetti’s ‘’La Favorita’’, in the end, in 1911 in ‘’Ivan le Terrible’’ of Rimsky-Korsakov and in 1912 with great success in ‘’La fille de Mme Angot’’ of Lecoq. He also belonged to the ensemble of the Théâtre Gaîté which gave in 1912 a gala performance at the Paris Grand Opéra. A year later he has passed away still young in Paris.
