He began his career in Amsterdam appearing in operetta (1902) and then sang at the opera houses of Ghent  and Antwerp Prague Holland Paris . He made records for Pathé, Gramophone, Polydor, Polyphon and Homochord, everything into Dutch language and under the name Jules Moes.
