Filippo Biancofiore (Baritone)


He studied singing under Ettore Titta, the brother of Titta Ruffo. Probably he made his debut in 1908 at the Teatro Wanda in Savona as Carlo in G. Verdi’s ‘’Ernani’’. In 1911 he was in Buenos Aires, where at the Teatro Coliseo sang in the premiere of P. Mascagni’s ‘’Isabeau’’ opposite Antonio Saludas, Carlo Galeffi, Maria Farneti and Giuseppe La Puma. Although As a member of P. Mascagni’s opera troupe Biancofiore made guest appearances in Rio de Janeiro and Montevideo, but mostly he appeared in Italy. He retired from the stage in 1917.
