Fritz Trostorff (Tenor) (Ratingen, bei Dusseldorf Germany 1874 - Breslau 1945)
He began his career as a member of choir at the municipal theatre of Zurich (1893/94). In the 1894-98 seasons he was engaged as a Chorist by the Court Theatre of Weimar, where he received his vocal education. In 1898 he began his work as a soloist at the Municipal Theatre of Metz to which he belonged till 1904. In the 1904-06 seasons he appeared at the theatre of Königsberg in, then from 1906-14 at the opera house of Wroclaw. Then he made guest appearances in Berlin, however, came after the First World War again to Wroclaw, where he worked now as a respected song pedagogue. Trostorff sang also several operetta parts. Guest performances led the artist often to the court theatres of Dresdenand Hannover, also to the Berlin Court Opera (1907), to the Court Theatres of Karlsruhe and Mannheim and to the German Theatre of Brünn (1908). His repertoire included Max in ‘’Freischütz’’, Florestan in ‘’Fidelio’’, Erik in''Fliegenden Holländer'', also Tristan, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser, Siegfried, Ägisth in ‘’Elektra’’, R.Strauss, Herodes in ‘’Salome’’, Fra Diavolo, José in ‘’Carmen’’ and Canio in ‘’Pagliacci’’.
