He is considered one of the greatest baritones of his time. He studied in Palermo and then in Milan. During of his career which lasted approximately from 1894 to 1910 he appeared at the Teatro Politeama Argentino in Buenos Aires, at the Teatro Regio in Parma, at La Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Bellini in Catania, Teatro Vittorio Emanuele of Messina, Teatro Municipale of Alessandria, also in Montevideo and Sao Paulo. He was very much appreciated in Buenos Aires as Rigoletto. He died in his native Novara on 23. 10. 1941, surrounded by the affection of his family, friends and admirers.
