Cesarina Valobra (Soprano) (La Spezia 1901 - Milan 1982)



She studied with Vittorio Vanza in Milan and debuted in 1923 at the Teatro Sociale in Como in Puccini’s ‘’La Bohème’’. In 1924 she appeared at La Scala as Lisa in Bellini’s ‘’La Sonnambula’’. In 1938 she appeared at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in the premiere of the opera ‘’Donata’’ of Gaspare Scuderi. In 1939 she finished her career. She spent her old age in the Casa di riposo Verdi in Milan. At the beginning of her career she has also appeared under the name Cesarina Valobra-Barbieri.
