Robert Primožič (Baritone) (11. marec 1893, Trst, † 16. december 1943, Ljubljana)




He graduated from his education in the singer by studies in Tŕst, Milan and Budapest. In 1912 he made his debut at the Slovenian theater of Tŕst as an eponymous hero in the opera ‘’Zrinsky’’of Ivan Zajc. In the 1918-1928 seasons he was engaged by the Croatian National Opera in Zagreb. since 1928 up to his death he was a member of the Slovenian National Theater in Ljubljana. His repertoire included Rigoletto, count di Luna in ‘’Trovatore’’, Escamillo in ‘’Carmen’’, Athanaël in ‘’Thaïs’’, Scarpia in ‘’Tosca’’, Wotan in Nibelungenring, Amfortas in ‘’Parsifal’’ and Jochanaan in ‘’Salome’’ of R. Strauss.
