Lina Romelli (Soprano) (Buenos Ayres, Argentina 1896 - ?)



She studied singing under Elvira Colonnese in Buenos Aires, then in Italy and made her debut in 1919 at the Teatro Casino in San Remo as Lucia di Lammermoor. In 1920 she appeared at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires (beginning role: Gerhilde in "Walküre"), where she appeared with success in the 1927-1930 seasons. She made guest appearances in EgyptItalyFrance andPortugal, but the center of her artistic career remained Teatro Colón. After 1931 she has appeared only in Argentina.
