Fritz Blankenhorn (Tenor) (Karlsruhe, Germany 5. 3. 1889 -Müllheim (Baden), Germany 8. 12. 1954)



He received his musical education in his hometown Karlsruhe and made his debut in 1914 at theStadttheater in BernSwitzerland. Later he was active also as an operetta singer. His best roles were Duke in ‘’Rigoletto’’, Manrico in ‘’Trovatore’’, Riccardo in ‘’Ballo in maschera’’, Alvaro in ‘’La forza del destino’’, Radames in ‘’Aida’’, Otello, Canio in ‘’Pagliacci’’, Cavaradossi in ‘’Tosca’’,  José in ‘’Carmen’’and  Lohengrin. Married to the soprano Trude Bornholt.
