Holger Bruusgaard (Baritone) (11. oktober 1884 i Mellerup nær Randers – 22. januar 1968 i København)



First he studied singing in Copenhagen, then in Rome, Dresden and Paris. In 1913 he made his debut at the Royal Court Opera in Copenhagen and was a member of this opera house till 1938. Here his repertoire included Papageno in ‘’Zauberflöte’’, Wolfram in ‘’Tannhäuser’’, Kurwenal in ‘’Tristan und Isolde’’, Valentin in ‘’Faust’’, Escamillo in ‘’Carmen’’, Germont-père in ‘’La Traviata’’, Renato in ‘’Ballo in maschera’’, Posa in ‘’Don Carlo’’, Ford in ’’Falstaff’’ and Eugene Onegin in the opera of the same name of Tchaikovsky. He appeared as a guest also in Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden and Prague.
