Gino Lussardi (Baritone) (Brescia 1886 - ?)



He studied singing under the pedagogue Giacomo Ortisi in Milan. He made his debut in 1907 at the Teatro Politeama Perini of Riva del Trento as Silvio in ‘’Pagliacci’’. Then he appeared at Torino, Vicenza, Genova and from 1911-15 at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires(among other things as Belloin the première of Puccini’s ‘’Fanciulla del West’’). At the Teatro Colón he sang the role of Silvio in ‘’Pagliacci’’ together with Enrico Caruso and Mario Sammarco. In 1924 he performed at the Teatro Regio of Parmain ‘’Le donne duriose’’; in 1934 he made guest appearances at Amsterdamand The Hague. His career lasted possibly till 1945.
