Pericles Aramis (Baritone) (Ioannina, Greece 1854 – Paris 1932)



His real name was Pericles Aravantinos. His father Panayiotis Aravantinos, was a director of Greek school in Ioannina, received his education at the Academy of Guilford. He studied at the Conservatories of Naples and Milan. He lived in Paris and founded there a private school of singing (1906). He was very handsome baritone, who triumphantlyappeared in Paris, gave a concerts at Covent Garden (1892). In 1902 he attempted tour in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, after Athens went to Russia  and Ukraine. He was a friend of Massenet, Sonzogno and Calvé.
