Olga Borová - Valoušková (Contralto) (Jičín 28. 03. 1886 - Praha 03. 06. 1975)




First she received her education at Music School of Pivodově from F. Spilky and O. Miner. Then perfected under E. Burian and L. V. Čelanského. In 1906, after a single appearance as Veruny (Blodek: ‘’V studni’’), she was engaged by the National Theatre in Prague, where she worked until 1913. The same year left the theatre, improved her singing technique in Berlin. In 1914, 1916, 1919 and 1923  she appeared at the National Theatre in Prague. In the 1923-1924 season she made guest appearances at the Opera House in Ljubljana. From 1922 she taught singing privately. The wife of the Director and the Chief drama ND John Bora. The mother of the film director Jan Strejčka and music journalist Vladimir Bora.
