In 1923 he appeared at the Opéra-Comique in the premiere of the opera ‘’La brébis égarée’’ of Darius Milhaud, in 1924 in Henri Rabaud’s ‘’L'Appel de la Mer’’. During the Second World War he interrupted his career and took up again only in 1944. The same year he performed at the Opéra-Comique in the premiere of the opera ‘’La gageure imprévue’’ of Henri Sauguet.
