José Besselink (Jos Besselinck) (Tenor) (Hengelo, Netherlands 1894 - ? Netherlands 1975)



In 1914 he received his education in Nijmwegen and later continued in Berlin. In 1919 he made his debut as a concert singer in Scheveningen. The same year he made his operatic debut as Pinkerton in G. Puccini’s ‘’Madama Butterfly’’ in Hague. He appeared with great success at different Dutch and Belgian operatic stages. Besides, His repertoire included José in ‘Carmen’’, Alfredo in ‘’La Traviata’’, Rodolfo in ‘’La Bohème’’ and Turiddu in ‘’Cavalleria Rusticana’’.
