  1. Hello, About G.Vix, you ignore (or forget) an important detail. She was during a decade, the main mistress of king Alphonse XIII of Spain.
As such, she was mainly invited in T. Real of Madrid and in Liceu of Barcelona, where she sang Thaïs during 5 seasons. In 1926, Vix reappeared in the Grand Opera of Paris for R.Strauss'Salomé.
After Salomé, we hear him in french Provinces, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, in some operettas of Offenbach: "Belle Hélène" or "Gde-Duchesse of Gerolstein".
The end of her career was sad. The Director of the Opera-Comique (Paris) in 1931, PB.Gheusi, refused to give him a farewell performance.
Sacha Guitry noticing that she had remained a very beautiful woman, revealed her in Countess Diepshinska in his movie "Désiré" in 1936. Remarried (1921) with Russian Prince Kyrill Naryshkin, she did not make it a character of composition...
