Eduard Erhard (Baritone) (Vienna, Austria 1879 ? - Starnberger, Germany ?)



First he was active as an actor, then studied singing at the Vienna Music Academy. Later he perfected his vocal technique under Giovanni Scarneo in Berlin. Probably he made his debut  in the 1903-1904 season at the Stadttheater in Nürnberg. His repertoire included Wolfram in ‘’Tannhäuser’’, Count di Luna in ‘’Il Trovatore’’, Germont ‘’La Traviata’’, Silvio in ‘’Pagliacci’’, Papageno in the ‘’Magic Flute’’. In 1908, at the Stadttheater  in Hamburg, he appeared in the premiere of the opera ‘’Sternengebot’’ of Siegfried Wagner. Later he worked as pedagogue and professor in Karlsruhe. He was the teacher of the soprano Clara Ebers. Married to the soprano Josefine Sedlmayer. Later he lived in Starnberger. He made records for Gramophone, Beka and Parlophon.
