He made his debut in 1894 at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Moser in ‘’Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg’’. Here he sang until 1904 and then returned to Italy , where the same year made his debut at the Politeama Casteggio in ‘’Rigoletto’’, but without success. In 1908 he made his real debut at the Teatro Olimpia of Bologna in ‘’Andrea Chenier’’. He retired from the stage in 1931, appearing for the last time at the Teatro Guidi in Pavia in ‘’Tannhauser’’. In Italy he was one of the best interpreters of the parts in R. Waganer's operas.
I wish to thank Severyan Tsagareyshvili for his help
