She studied voice with Ersilia Ceresoli, making her debut as Gilda in ''Rigoletto'' at the Teatro Traiano in Civitavecchia in 1919. In the same year she sang the role of Norina in ''Don Pasquale'' at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome. She then appeared often at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, as well as at the Teatro Costanzi, and the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. In the season of 1922-23 she was engaged by the Italian Opera in Holland, and in 1924 she had great success at the Teatro Carcano in Milan. In 1929 she had a lengthy series of appearances at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, and further guest appearances brought her to Bologna, Trieste, Verona, and Padua. She also toured Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and Poland. In 1926 she appeared as Gilda at the Opera in Paris. Her career came to a close in 1937 because she was Jewish, and she was forced to remain hidden all of 1943-1944.
