Irene Sollohub-Bocconi (Soprano) ( Lviv, village Nesluhov 1885 - Milan 1972)


She was born in Lviv (village Neslukhov). Her husband was italian. She was trained at the Lviv Conservatory. Later she received her training at Milan with legendary tenor Aleksander Philippi-Mishuga. From 1905 to 1923 Sollohub appeared on the opera stages of Lvov, Poland and Italy. In concert repertoire of the soprano there were arias from operas, as well as songs of Ukrainian composers (A. K. Vakhnyanin, O. Lisenko, O. K. Nijankovsky). She made records for Gramophone including her duets with italian tenor Luca Botta.
