She studied singing under J. Günther in Stockholm and concluded with Desirée Artôt de Padilla in Paris. In 1889 she made her debut at the Royal Opera in Stockholm as Benjamin in ‘’Joseph’’ of Méhul. Up to 1910 with a short interruption she remained a member of the Royal Opera in Stockholm, till 1914 she appeared there. She sang in this opera house among other things in 1898 in the premiere of the opera "Tirfing" of Wilhelm Stenhammar and the title role in the premiere of the opera "Ran" of Wilhelm Peterson-Berger (20. 5. 1903). In 1904 she had a huge success when she created the part of Brünnhilde in "Götterdämmerung" for Stockholm. In the 1906-1908 seasons she sang at the Oskar Theater in Stockholm operetta parts. She appeared after her marriage also as Matilda Jungstedt-Linden.
