Marthe Coiffier (Mezzo-Soprano) (? 1896 - ?)



First she studied piano and vocal at the conservatoire of Oran. In 1918 she came to Paris and completed her education at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1921 she made her debut at the Paris Opéra-Comique as Micaela in ‘’Carmen’’. During the following ten years she sang at this opera house. She appeared with great success as Sophie in ‘’Werther’’, Cupid in ‘’Orpheus’’ and Andreloux in ‘’Mireille’’.
