He studied in Catania with the teacher Adernò and made his debut in 1910 at the Teatro Costanzi of Rome as Arlecchino in ‘’Pagliacci’’. Since 1923 he started to appear in the United States where he settled in 1931. After the withdrawal settled in Los Angeles where he devoted himself to teaching. He took part in several films including the famous "Adventure to Vallechiara" with Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
